Georgios Soklis is Assistant Professor in “Economic Theory and Policy of Input-Output Analysis” at Panteion University. 

He holds a Degree in “Public Economics” (2004), a MSc in “Economics of Production and Intersectoral Relations” (2006), and a PhD in Economics from the Department of Public Administration of the Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences. 

From 2019 to 2021 he worked as a Research Fellow at the Centre of Planning and Economic Research (KEPE) and his has been a member of the steering committee of the National Productivity Board of Greece. He has also worked as an Administrative and Financial Officer at the Hellenic Electricity Distribution Network Operator (HEDNO), and as Criminal Investigator at the Department of Special Cases and Researches of the Special Secretariat for Financial and Economic Crime Unit (SDOE) of the Ministry of Finance.

His research interests include Input-Output Analysis, Political Economy, and Tourism Economics. His research has been published in top-rated academic journals and his publications have received numerous citations. 

He is a member of the International Input-Output Association and the Economic Chamber of Greece, and a member of the editorial board and reviewer for several international scientific journals.
