Christina Christopoulou, born in Athens, completed her undergraduate studies at the Law School of National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 1990 and went on to pursue postgraduate studies in Law at the Westfälische Wilhelms – Universität in Münster, Germany, obtaining the degree of «Magister Legum (LL.M.)» in 1991. She subsequently wrote her doctoral thesis at the same University on a sponsorship from the Friedrich Naumann Stiftung Foundation and was declared a «Doktor der Rechte» by the Westfälische Wilhelms – Universität Münster on 17 May 1994.

Christina Christopoulou started her academic career as a Lecturer of Commercial Law at the Department of Public Administration of Panteion University in 2009 and continued as Assistant Professor of Commercial Law in 2017 at the same Department. Her fields of interest and publications concentrate on Banking Law, Insolvency Law, Insurance Law and Consumer Protection Law and she is Member of the Greek Commercialists Association. She teaches Commercial Law, Banking Law, European Commercial Law, Company Law, Labour Law at both the undergraduate and postgraduate level in the Department of Public Administration. She is also Attorney at Law and Member of Athens Bar Association, qualified to appear before Supreme Court and has been practicing banking law for over 20 years.
