Spiros Polimeris is a member of the Laboratory Teaching Staff in Informatics in Public Administration at the Department of Public Administration of Panteion University. He has studied Mathematics at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (B.Sc. in Maths), European Civilization at the Hellenic Open University (B.A.) and holds a Master’s Degree in Digital Arts (M.D.A.) from the Athens School of Fine Arts, following a two-year Master’s programme he attended on scholarship. He has completed his doctoral studies at the School of Public Administration, Panteion University and holds a Doctor’s degree in Arts Administration (‘Digital future and Art: Institutional Administration perspectives’) with Distinction.

He has also attended a two-year seminar in Computer Science and Analysis aimed at postgraduate students at the Greek Productivity Centre (EL.KE.PA). He has an excellent command of English (C-2) and a good command of French (B-2). Spiros Polimeris has worked as a Computer Programmer and Computer Analyst in the Private Sector and has taught Computer Science in secondary and post-secondary education training centres.

He has also taught Virtual Reality courses at the Athens School of Fine Arts. Since 2003 he has held a post at the Public Administration Department of the Panteion University as an Informatics in Administration specialist. He has created video art as well as 3D-animation films and has won a State Award for his short film “a journey…”, which was also invited abroad. His papers have been published in journals of management, administrative studies, arts, semiotics and philosophy.
